Kyocera Rise cell phones user reviews, tips and how to's

i bought this during a promotion, and am very happy with it. The biggest downside i can see is that there is no extended battery available for it yet, as the battery life is pretty dismal. Still, if you re looking for an entry level Android phone with a full keyboard, this is the one to get. Keep a charger nearby though. <br / > <br / >i use the wifi at home and work, and the 3g is just fine when i m away from wifi. /Floria/
The main draw of the Kyocera Rise for me was its physical, slide-out qwerty keyboard. i could never get used to a virtual keypad, even with swype. Keyboard sliding function is durable, but makes the phone heavy - which is to be expected. The Rise runs Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), sports a 1MHz Snapdragon Processor and 1gb of internal memory for user use, which is a generous amount for an entry-level android phone. /Andee/
On the surface it seems like a great deal, and for about five hours it was. The processor speed was adequate, as well as the qwerty keyboard. The 3.2 mp camera left much wanting, but i was able to look past. The deal breaker was when the phone would randomly power off, and the only way to turn it back on was to plug it back into the charger. Mind you, the phone was no where close of being low on power. Sorry, that s the dealbreaker right there. /Hege/
i bought this phone for my 12year old grandson, and he loves it! i love the fact that is no contract and very affordable. Great for kids his age. /Monique/

This phone is amazing. For it being on virgin mobile and people saying that virgin mobile is a bad company, its everything i need in an android. If your looking for a android for a low price and a great company this phone is for you. /Keslie/
i have been with Virgin Mobile for well over ten years now. i have never had a problem with their service. i love this phone! It runs all of the apps that i want it to, i love the ease of the slide out keyboard, and the battery lasts a good long time. Of course, you cannot beat the cost of the plan! <br / > <br / >i would recommend this phone to anyone! /Nona/
Bought this to have not only a mobile phone, but also something to do social stuff with, too. It works for all that, but it struggles sometimes. Still, it works with most things (Facebook, Twitter, Google Keep, etc.) . /Sharon/
Nice size, plenty of functions, and all for a dirt cheap price. Does a lot more than i expected, an is easy to learn to use. /Sibby/
